Jacque has been a member of Progressive Dane for 5 years, Co-chair for last two years. Jacque is also Vice President of the Allied Wellness Center in the Allied Drive Neighborhood. Jacque has been working with Progressive Dane on issues related to fair housing/homelessness issues, truly innovative local economic development, prevention of gentrification in the re-development of the Allied Drive neighborhood, advancement of better public transportation including the upcoming Regional Transit Authority and the fight to prevent raising local bus fares, and working with Student Progressive Dane on the fight to change policies of the Dane County sheriff to change his practices in regards to undocumented residents.

BACKGROUND

Cities are assuming an active role in nuclear abolition and climate protection initiatives. Over 900 mayors have signed the U.S. Conference of Mayors Climate Protection Agreement, pledging to work to implement the Kyoto Protocol in their own communities.
